NLP is a series of methods that model human
experience and communication. When used
systematically the methods constitute a full
strategy for getting any behavioural gain. NLP
principles have been used to study people who
are unusually talented, in order to determine
the structure of their talent. So that talents,
skills, strategies and behaviours can be quickly
taught to others.
The use of NLP interventions result in
generative change, change whereby people learn
to create new talents and behaviours for
themselves and others. A side effect of such
generative change is that many of the problem
behaviours that people experience or express and
that have in the past been targets for remedial
changes simply disappear.
Once having practiced new skills and behaviours
consciously for some period of time you can
allow that skill to function unconsciously.
It was once said by John Grinder ( co-
originator of NLP) that "if someone knew how to
walk through solid walls then by using NLP we
would be able to model their technique,
reproduce it and be able to walk through walls
also". NLP is applicable to all areas of
learning and personal change including:
-
Eliminating
fears
-
Eradicating
phobias
-
Destroying
compulsions
-
Giving
self-confidence
-
Increasing
self-esteem
-
Improving
sports performance
-
Increasing
mental awareness (memory, attention etc)
-
Putting off
procrastination!
-
Overcoming
learning difficulties
-
Creating
compelling futures
If there is someone in the world getting the
results that you would like, doing the things
that you want to do, feeling the feelings you
would like to feel or living the sort of life
that you would like to live, then NLP will
enable you to achieve the same results.
"The question you must ask yourself is.. just
how much pleasure and success can you stand"
